When septic issues turn into a full abatement problem, that is when you need to call Atlantic. Unfortunately, a library in Providence, RI had this very issue when a major septic pipe burst-causing flooding throughout the area. The staff realized that underneath the carpeted areas were vinyl asbestos tiles, frequently seen in older buildings and residences. In order to properly decontaminate the area of all septic waste, Atlantic was called to the scene to evaluate the situation and bring together a plan of action for the abatement. We worked hand-in-hand with the Library, RIDOH, and an Industrial Hygiene firm to quickly obtain permits, emergency waivers, and eventually a clean bill of health for the library.
