Hospital Boiler Room

Not all asbestos requires abatement. Often times, asbestos is in good condition, with only a few broken and open ends that require repair. In this instance, many clients opt to perform encapsulation (wrapping of the asbestos material with an additional canvas, and further sealing it with an approved mastic-paint).

This was the case for a hospital located in Rhode Island, who opted to have their entire boiler-system (including its pipes and breeching) encapsulated; doing this allowed the hospital to continue utilizing the insulation surrounding the system, while ensuring all asbestos is safe and in non-friable condition.
